The Plane of Zendikar

Oath of the Gatewatch continues the story on Zendikar, a mana-rich plane in Magic: The Gathering still ravaged by the awakening of the Eldrazi titans. The plane features rugged landscapes, ancient hedrons, and floating Skyclaves, with survivors fighting for refuge as the titans Ulamog and Kozilek rampage across the world.

The Conflict on Zendikar

In the story of Oath of the Gatewatch, planeswalkers Gideon Jura, Jace Beleren, Chandra Nalaar, and Nissa Revane unite against the Eldrazi titans and the demonic planeswalker Ob Nixilis. After being captured and escaping, the four planeswalkers formally swear an oath to protect the multiverse from threats no one else can handle. They form the Gatewatch and join forces with Zendikari allies in a final stand to defeat the Eldrazi on Zendikar.

Oath of the Gatewatch emphasizes teamwork and planeswalker unity in Magic: The Gathering.
