The Conflict on Theros

In the story of Theros Beyond Death, planeswalker Elspeth Tirel, previously killed by the sun god Heliod and cast into the Underworld, escapes her fate. Her return disrupts the divine order and leads to direct confrontation with Heliod. Meanwhile, Klothys, the god of fate who had sequestered herself in the Underworld as jailer of the ancient titans, awakens to restore destiny as the gods wage war among themselves and the balance between life and death frays.
